Individual Therapy

In individual therapy, clients work one-on-one with their therapist in a safe and non-judgmental environment where they work collaboratively to address the issues and challenges facing the client. Therapists utilize an eclectic and dynamic approach, meaning our therapists use different modalities and interventions and are active participants during the session. Therapists provide feedback, ask questions that will be helpful to the work with clients, teach different and effective coping skills, and provide resources when necessary.

Sessions are 45 minutes and occur weekly. Therapists will regularly review with clients their progress towards goals, and if the therapist and client both feel that the client has made a lot of progress, the frequency of sessions are reduced.

Regardless of what stage couples are their relationships, whether they just started dating, or have been married for many years, relationships involve work. During couples therapy, our therapists act as moderators and facilitators to help clients explore and express their thoughts and feelings, and feel heard and understood by each other. Our goal is to help couples get to the “root” of their issues and conflicts, teach them strategies to improve their communication skills, become more connected with their emotions, build trust and support for each other, and identify tools to be able to resolve conflicts in the future.

Sessions are up to an hour and occur weekly. And just like in individual therapy, therapists will review with couples progress they have made towards their goals, and decrease the frequency of sessions as they (couple and therapist) see fit.
